Robotics Success!!

Apr 24, 2017

The Round Rock Robotics team competed for the first time in the National Seaperch challenge last Saturday. Seaperch is an underwater robotics competition where students build an underwater drone and then guide it through an obstacle course and series of tasks. They receive points for the task completed and time to complete the obstacle course. Teams that made the top 10 (out of 36 teams) are then invited to an interview to describe their robot and the process by which they developed it. In our first competition, our team made the top 10, beating out at least 5 other area high school teams and did a fantastic job in the interview. We did not make the top to in order to advance to nationals, but our team was encouraged and already looking forward to next year and making nationals!
