Cross Country Success at Regionals!!

Boys Cross Country takes 5th Overall

Senior Jacob Reynolds led Round Rock Cross Country boys team to a 4th place (24 teams) overall Regionals finish Monday and earned a qualifier spot for the upcoming State Cross Country meet to be held at Old Settler’s Park. Reynolds blazed the muddy course to finish 7th overall with a time of just 15:14.20 (a 24 second PR)! Finishing 2nd for the team and 17th overall with a time of 15:31 was Junior Hayden Gray who posted a 12 second PR. Senior Kobe Yepez landed our 3rd team spot and 21st overall with a time of 15:37 followed by Senior Tyler Duke who posted a 22 second PR finishing in 16:20.81. Freshman Cade Stevens earned our 5th spot with one of his fastest race times of the year (16:26.48) and sealed our overall team score at 154. Juniors Aidan Rodriquez and Joseph Bjarnason, with times of 16:30 and 16:50 both PR’d (42 sec PR and 7  sec PR respectively) took our 6th and 7th spots for the team with great finishes as well.

Girls Cross Country takes 9th Overall (out of 24 Teams)

  • Sydney Waterbury – 19:20
  • Fiona Graves – 19:46
  • Megan Nevlud – 19:50
  • Lauren Willson – 20:03
  • Mia Sanchez – 20:28.

Every girl finished the season with a PR (personal record)! Also for the girl’s 5K, the team’s top 5 average dropped from a 20:12 to a 19:20 at Regionals!  Fastest times all year!!! GO ROCK!
