PTSA Update: 10/10/2019

Tees for TEENS

The seasons are changing, and it’s time to clean out those closets! Grab YOUR teen and have them pick out  clean, gently used T-shirts that they think another teen would like to wear! Make sure the tees are RRISD dress code appropriate and free of holes, rips, or stains. Shorts, pants, and other shirts are also welcome. This clothing drive runs through OCTOBER 31, 2019, and the collection bin is located in the 1200 front office area.

The Clothes Closet benefits any student in RRISD in need of clothes. Simply visit the RRHS Nurse’s office for a voucher. For more information, please contact Tricia Parker–RRHS PTSA Clothes Closet Coordinator–at clothes.closet@rrhsptsa.org.

Teacher Grants

It’s a great time to join PTSA and help fund teacher grants!  As PTSA’s mission is to make every child’s future a reality, we award grants to applicants from any department at Round Rock High School. In fact, last year PTSA gave out $4,300 to the RRHS faculty, from ROTC to Culinary Arts to Science.

Teacher grants are based on PTSA’s annual income, which comes from membership fees, t-shirt sales, and donations. Joining helps buy equipment, fund programs, and help pay for supplies that directly support students in their classrooms.  Also, the Dragon community is proud to say that we are one of the largest PTSAs in the state of Texas, and we want to keep it that way!
