Choir Success!!

During quarantine, the Round Rock Dragon choir department had two choirs entered into The Foundation for Music Education’s National Mark of Excellence Choral Honors program. This is a national music competition that recognizes music programs and their ensemble for high standards in performance. The ensembles are judged, through recordings, by nationally respected adjudicators. The top quarter of entries are selected as National Winners and the next quarter are named as Commended winners.
The Round Rock Dragon Chorale (our Varsity Mixed Choir) was named as the National Winners for the Mixed Choir division and have received the National Mark of Excellence award. Additionally, Round Rock Muse (our Varsity Treble Choir) was named Commended Winners in the Open Division. These are also the first two choirs in the RRISD named to this honor and have now joined The RRHS Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony, and Symphony Orchestra in receiving this award.
Please congratulate these Dragons as this is a huge honor!
