Round Rock High School Please accept this special invitation to attend our annual Open House to be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. We will start the evening in the 1100 Cafeteria at 6:00 PM with a PTSA General Meeting. Classroom visitation will begin at 6:30 PM.
Where can you park and enter on this night?
- If you attend the PTSA General Meeting, the 1100 and 1200 building entrances will be best. The 1200 building staff/visitor parking lot and Parking Lots A, B, C or D off Deep Wood Drive will be closest to these entrances.
- All parking areas will be available on this night.
Due to the size of our campus, this year will be arranged differently from years past:
- Parents can visit classrooms in the order they choose for the amount of time they choose. (In times past, parents had to follow their student’s schedule . They had 10 minutes in each classroom and 7 minutes for passing.)
- Each teacher will provide pertinent information about his/her class through a scrolling PowerPoint and/handouts. This allows parents time to gather information and visit at their leisure.
- The administrators, counselors and the athletic director will be available in the library for general questions.
You will need several items on this night:
- Your student’s schedule so you have the names of the teachers you would like to visit.
- A list of all teachers and the rooms where they can be found: Open House 2016 Room List

There are two special parent sessions available on this night:
- 6:00-6:30 Parent of English Language Learners Meet & Greet – 1100 Lecture Hall
- 6:30-7:15 Cornell Notetaking – 100 Lecture Hall
This visitation will not be conducive for individual parent-teacher conferences, but is an opportunity to meet and greet teachers and get answers to general questions. Individual conferences may be arranged throughout the year by calling or emailing the teacher.
