Internet Safety for Kids and Teens: November 7th | 6 – 7:30 PM
Parents will learn about general guidelines for online safety and recommendations for elementary-aged children and adolescents. Parents will also leave this presentation with more knowledge on cyber bullying.
Managing Meltdowns and Tantrums, How to Cool Off 2-12 year olds: November 28th | 6 – 7:30 PM
When children have a hard time managing their emotions it can turn into meltdowns and tantrums. Meltdowns and tantrums can be effectively prevented, managed, and treated. In this workshop, parents will be able to tell the difference between a meltdown and a tantrum, will learn tools to respond to and prevent meltdowns and tantrums, and will be given resources for when to seek additional help.
Effective Parent/Child Communication: December 12th | 6 – 7:30 PM
Parents will learn about the impact of modeling healthy communication skills with their children and skills to enhance communication with their children. Suitable for caregivers of children from elementary to high school.
LIMITED FREE CHILDCARE — Free childcare is available to children 2 years old and older. Please let Sara Walters know how many children you plan to bring and their ages when you register.
