Band Success!!

This past Wednesday-Saturday, November 8th-11th, the Dragon Band competed in the Bands of America Grand Nationals competition in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Simply put, the group was stellar.  100 bands compete in this event and each year it gets bigger and better!  The band competed in prelims on Thursday evening, then advanced to Saturday morning semi-finals, and finally advanced to finals on Saturday night–earning 12th place overall.  All three of their performances were electric, with each one getting a little better.  This was the Dragon Band’s third trip to this event, and the group has been a finalist each time. The level of effort, determination, and heart needed to do well at this event is extraordinary, and the band gave all it had to give.  Rock Band represented our city, our district, and our campus extremely well!
