Academy Night and Elective Fair

Round Rock High School will be hosting our annual Academy Night and Elective Fair on January 30th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the 1100 building cafeteria. This event will give you and your student an opportunity to speak with teachers and current students as you explore and learn more about the Academy options and courses available. You will also have an opportunity to explore our clubs, fine arts programs and athletic organizations. An Advanced Placement student panel will be available to answer questions about Advanced Placement and other college readiness classes along with a counselor session that will cover 4 year plans and personal graduation plans. We hope you will join us to learn more about our offerings as your journey to becoming a Dragon begins!
- ACADEMY – PROGRAMS OF STUDY – 1100 Cafeteria, 6:00 p.m.
An overview of RRHS academies will be presented by Academy Specialist Dustin Binnicker at 6:00 p.m. in the 1100 cafeteria. Handouts on all the Academy-Programs of Study, program overviews and maps will be given out at this time. Then, tour our academies and programs of study; meet our academy teachers and visit with students. Come explore all the exciting options open to your students.
- ADVANCED ACADEMICS– 1100 Cafeteria, Session #1 6:45 – 7:15 p.m. & Session #2 7:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Come learn about our Advanced Academic courses and their benefits. TAG, Pre-AP, AP, dual credit and OnRamps! What does it all mean and what’s best to take? Talk to a panel of Dragons that are currently in these courses. Ask them about time management, specific courses, course load, and much more!
- ACADEMY & ELECTIVE FAIR – 1100 Main Gym, Open from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Career and Technical Education teachers, clubs and athletic sponsors will also be available to distribute information about Round Rock High School activities. Come and check out the many opportunities that RRHS has to offer.
- RRHS COUNSELORS – 1100 Lecture Hall, Open from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Hear from High School campus counselors to learn about specific programs offered, ask questions regarding scheduling and planning, and discuss Foundations with Endorsement Graduation Plans.
