RRHS MARINE CORPS JROTC HOSTING THE MANION WOD – SATURDAY NOV 21

What: Marine Corps JROTC at Round Rock High is hosting the annual Manion WOD (Workout of the Day)
When: Saturday, November 21; Check-in begins at 0800; Event kicks off at 0900 until completion
Where: Round Rock High School campus, Bldg 400 gym and track (next to football field)
Why: To honor Marine 1st Lieutenant Travis Manion who was KIA in Iraq in 2007
Cost: $29 donation (t-shirt will be provided by the Travis Manion Foundation either before or after the event)

Additional info:
  • Weight for back squats can be scaled up or down per individual’s capabilities. Prescribed weight is 135 lbs for men, 95 lbs for women.
  • Water bottles will be provided but due to limited quantities, athletes should bring their own hydration system.
  • Dress appropriately for the weather when conducting the 400-meter portion which is an outdoor track.
  • Athletes can show up any time after check-in starts to begin the WOD
  • This event is open to the public. Invite family and friends. Forward this email to other groups, i.e. Boy Scouts, sports teams, cheerleaders, VFW, etc.
  • Two-person teams can be formed for motivation, accountability…and rest!
