REMINDER: District Google and Classlink passwords have been updated
Dear Parents/Guardians,
The District sent an email on Saturday, Dec. 20, just after 4 p.m. explaining that on Friday, Dec. 19, the District information systems group discovered that students’ Google passwords became out of sync with their Chromebook and Classlink passwords.
This email is a reminder that if your student needs to request a District Google account password other than their default password or have trouble logging in, please submit a request for a new chosen password. If you have already submitted a request for a new chosen password, no further action is required.
It was discovered that when some students attempt to login into their District Google account or Chromebook, they receive a message that says, “Your password was changed.” Or, “Wrong password try again.” Only students who had previously changed their password from the default password, were affected.
All students who have not submitted a request for a new chosen password since parents/guardians were notified on Saturday, Dec. 20, can presently log in to Google and Classlink by using their default password. To change a student(s) default password, please request a newly chosen password. If you have multiple students who require a new chosen password, please complete a request for each student.
If your student elects to choose a new password, we will send a text and/or email confirmation once the new password has been changed, within approximately 24-48 hours. Please wait to log in with your newly requested password until you receive confirmation that the password is set.
Thank you for your understanding, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
