Tennis Success!

Last Thursday and Friday, RR Tennis competed in San Antonio at the State Tennis Tournament.

Ramitha Irrinki and DeCora Antoine made school history by becoming the first students from RRHS to reach a State Finals in tennis!

The girls started off Thursday by dominating a team from Bridgeland, 6-3, 6-3. They then played a very strong team from Abilene in the State semis. After dropping the first set, the girls dug in and fought back for a massive come from behind victory, 4-6, 7-6(1), 6-3.

Friday morning, the girls took on a team that sported two D1 commits and came up just short of their ultimate goal.

It was an unbelievable run for these two and we are so proud of their hard work and achievements!
