Band Success!!

The Dragon Band sent 19 students to the TMEA Area competition this past Saturday, January 8th at Duncanville HS near Dallas.  Every student performed extremely well and we had four first alternates:

• • • Kaden Steele, Bass Trombone, first alternate
    • Jeffrey Chang, Oboe, first alternate
    • Mike Popke, Contra Bassoon, first alternate
    • Meredith Wolfe, Trombone, first alternate

We also had THREE students make ALL State!  This is the highest honor a student musician can achieve in the state of Texas!  These three students will participate in the TMEA Clinic and Convention in San Antonio from February 9th-12th where they will perform in one of the Texas All State ensembles!
