Round Rock High School 
Hello All,
On Friday and Saturday, December 9th and 10th, 185 of our Dragon Band students competed in the TMEA Region 26 band auditions held at Cedar Ridge High School. The contest is held in two phases: Phase 1 on Friday for instruments with very large numbers of performers – Flutes, Clarinets, Trumpets, Trombones and Percussion. These students can advance from Phase 1 to Phase 2, held on Saturday, along with all the other instrument groups who did not audition during Phase 1.
This is an important contest as students can advance to the TMEA Area auditions and that is their chance to make ALL STATE!
Our Dragons did a phenomenal job, the best in the contest in fact. 78 students earned a chair in one of the two region bands and of those 78 students, 29!! are advancing to the area level for a shot at making All State.
