Round Rock High School 
This weekend, The Round Rock High School Quiz Bowl team traveled to a an in-person tournament for the first time since February 2020. None of our current players had ever participated in an official in-person match before this Saturday, and only one of them had ever even played in official online matches before.
They met me at RRHS at 4:15am to ride to Cistercian Preparatory School in Irving, TX. As relatively “green” players, they played in the Junior Varsity division and ended the day with an 8-2 record! This is the best overall performance our club has ever had in a single day tournament.
I don’t have our full stats back from the tournament organizers yet, but my own personal notes from the day reflect that each player individually showed growth between their first match of the day and the last one, and their teamwork improved overall throughout the day as well. I am very proud of these students and their hard work. Please congratulate them if you see them!
