Spring 2021 Final Exam Exemptions Information

Students in 9th – 10th grade may be exempt from three semester exams for classes in which they have a semester average of 85 or above, have been in attendance 90% of the semester [5 or less absences], and are present on the exam days when attendance is taken [Note the Final Exam Day Attendance Requirement described below].  Students will not be required to take a spring semester final in EOC subjects [Algebra I, Biology, English I, English II, US History] if they take the EOC exam(s) and meet all exam exemption guidelines. 

Students in 11th – 12th grade may be exempt from three semester exams for classes in which they have a semester average of 85 or above, have been in attendance 90% of the semester [5 or less absences], and are present on the exam days when attendance is taken  [Note the Final Exam Day Attendance Requirement described below]. Juniors in EOC US History can be exempt in the spring if they take the US History EOC exam and meet all exam exemption guidelines.

The second-semester courses exempted shall not be the same courses exempted from the first semester.

Final Exam Day Attendance Requirement 

Students must meet one of the following criteria to be counted as present.

  1. Daily progress in the Learning Management System (LMS)- Schoology
  2. Daily progress via teacher-student interactions such as emails, or
  3. Completion/Turn-in of assignments before 11:59 PM of the same day

Attendance is counted daily. Students will need to attend 90% of the days.
