Boys XC Success at Georgetown Invitational River Run

This past Friday at the Georgetown Cross Country Invitational our boys cross country team came away with 2nd OA in varsity and 1st OA in JV. Just about everyone of our boys PR’d at the race! The overall leader for the boys varsity team breaking the tape in just 15:44 was Koby Yepez.  To give you perspective on that pace he sprinted just a tick over 5 minutes a mile for 3.1 miles! Securing the team spot, Kobe was followed by Jacob Reynolds (5^th OA), Andrew Fanous (7^th OA), Hayden Gray (11^th OA), Zach Driscoll (12^th OA), Robbie Graves (13^th OA), Erin Brophy (16^th OA), and Tyler Duke (18^th OA). The top 20 runners earned medals.

Our JV team made an impressively strong showing led by Dominique Vargas who took first overall with a PR of 00:17:19.  He was following close behind by teammates Andrew Neidig (3^rd), CP Schaulis (6^th), Ruben Estrada (7^th), Christopher Tan (9^th), Drew Albright (10^th), Theo Phocas (13^th), Spencer Phelps (14^th), Blake Belisle (15^th), Joseph Bjarnason (16^th), Jackson Shamsie (18^th), Sebastian Martinez (19^th), and Larry Davila (20^th).
